After the Material Recovery Facility was destroyed in a fire in April 2022, Tulsa's curbside recycling came to halt. Now, Mr. Murph 2.0 up and running-- sorting about 42,000 pounds of recycling per hour.
Join TYPROS Sustainability Crew for a tour of the recycling plant, led by Robert Pickens, VP of Recycling at American Waste Control. We'll learn about residential curbside recycling programs and how our waste is recycled. Mr. Murph will not be running during the tour but we will see where all the magic happens and learn about the sophisticated AI Robots that do all the dirty work.
We are touring at an usual time for the facility (4 p.m. was the best we could do to accommodate working schedules and Mr. Murph's schedule), so it is imperative that we get an accurate head count well in advance. Please let us know by March 24 if you must cancel your reservation.
