At the intersection of arts, entertainment, and sustainability lies the fun and important practices of gardening and food preparation. Join the Arts & Entertainment Crew along with the Sustainability Crew for a garden tour led by Global Gardens!
Global Gardens exists to empower low-income students and families through inquiry-based learning that takes place in the garden. They teach students to plan and cultivate their gardens and incorporate what they've grown into recipes.
Although the Global Gardens has established gardens at many schools around Tulsa, our tour will take place at Eugene Field Elementary and will be led by a Global Gardens educator and (pending parent permission) some student volunteers. We'll learn about their sustainable gardening practices, try out some herbal lemonades made with fresh herbs from the garden, and enjoy pizza together!
