Tulsa's Monthly Story Slam is always a fun night out! This month's theme, Confessions, is the only one repeated every March, and it is popular and shocking. Audience members will volunteer to compete in the Story Slam, but you are also welcome to just listen to these amazing stories!
10 names are drawn, and each storyteller has 5 minutes on the mic to tell a story and win the crowd. 'Judges' are audience members who score the teller/tale on a 10-point scale. The highest-scoring teller gets a cash prize and an invitation to participate in the yearly Grand Slam in spring 2025. At the Grand Slam the monthly winners vie for the "Best Storyteller in Tulsa" spot.
Tickets are $10. We will have seats saved together in one area. There will be time to chat before the show, during intermission, and after. There is no food at the event, but drinks are available for purchase. If you are thinking of telling a story, you are also welcome to attend OK SO's Free Storytelling workshop on March 11th to get a leg up on the competition.
